Missions

It’s our joy to be a church that goes forth into the world making disciples of all nations. Here are some people and places we love:

Our Mission Trips

jovens da verdade, brazil

We have sent eight mission teams to Brazil since 2005. We volunteer with Jovens da Verdade, a Christian camp outside of São Paolo, and help out with building projects and community ministries, both at the camp and in the town of Aruja.

Our most recent trip to Brazil was in July 2018.

Norm and Kerri Crandell host our semi-annual mission trip to Baja California. We love and serve our partner organization, Open Arms, a charity that provides no-cost childcare to local families facing separation due to poverty. On our last trip we laid a soccer field at Open Arms’ new location in Camalu.

This trip typically happens during SLV’s spring break in the beginning of April

Jacob and Audrey are grateful to the Lord for each step that led them to become missionaries with MAF. As a Pilot/IT Specialist in Mozambique, Jacob flies airplanes to remote areas to minister to isolated people groups. Jacob is also part of the Africa IT support team, and helps to provide computer, network, and server support. Audrey homeschools their three kids, and serves and encourages women in the community.
